In digital conversations yesterday, while celebrating a birthday with a few friends, an argument came forth - when there a global pandemic, individual choices barely get due importance, as decisions are made at the macro level. My perspective was a bit different; the choice is not only controlled by external forces but an internal conglomeration of our perceived notions too. Some may define it as Human engineering backed by awareness.
As per famous English philosopher and physician John Locke, who’s widely regarded as ‘Father of Liberalism’ – reflection alone can give an idea of what perception is, and the right perception built within helps us to navigate through effectively when a choice is perceived as multi-dimensional. How so ever complex the situation is, we are always at the upper hand in dictating the choices - as they are internal forces.
It is beautifully summed up in Bible KJV, Proverbs 23:7: “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.”
Choices confuse us, but if it can be perceived through lenses of awareness, it can be less confusing and more meaningful. In an era, where the level of uncertainty is making a dominant entry to our lives, it is our choices which will guide us to the desired goals...
